I get tired of all these premature teenagers who thin that twilight is the ultimate vampire novel. they say that no other book is better at vampires than this one, because it's romantic. Well so was Dracula and it's insanely better because it is actually about vampires. The vampires in Dracula are what vampires in other books should be like as well.
Of course no girl with the intelligence and maturity of some Disney channel show would agree. because like Disney channel, Twilight was written to dumb down the minds of teenage girls so that they would be consumed by ridiculous sappy romance with a couple frauds the author calls vampires and then call it a vampire novel. This is the problem with our society. There are too many ways to make someone think that what they are reading is good because it's aimed at our fragile soft spots. I guarantee you if Stephanie Meyers tried making an intellectual vampire film no teenager would read it until it's dumb down to their level.
Now enough about the book let's get on to the utter crapfest that was the movie. It was just made the same way the book was to appeal to little girls who are mesmerized by attractive, talentless Abercrombie models. seriously for all the poor boys out there who were forced to see this train wreck just to get romantic with your girlfriends. Imagine how pathetic that must make a boyfriend feel, that he must take his girl to watch a movie about models pretending to be vampires just so she'll realize that she has no chance with the actors onscreen so she becomes more attracted to her boyfriend instead. yes, I know that was a run on sentence. there's plenty more where that came from.
Twilight is about mushy gushy looks and that's it. the vampires have no fangs so they can't hurt each other badly. This is like a PG Dracula. Maybe if Coppola made this we would've had a real PG-13 or R rated vampire story. then again Coppola only works on work with true artistic value so he would ignore this film and book like Stephen King would as well.
The critics went crazy over this film. Well at least the sell outs did. The real critics gave it average reviews because they knew that it didn't try to be anymore than the overrated mess that it is. A whole film based on good looking vampires, underwhelming acting, and a dried up mushy gushy slop fest.
If any horror fan actually tries to say this is a good horror film well then they should be ashamed to call themselves real horror fans. This film is nothing but small minded romance for all the tweens who ares till premature in growing up. If you want real horror check out any other book about vampires that's not on Disney channel or a Kellogg's cereal box.
This is why our youth is so tainted and small minded these days because of books like this and modern day Disney channel bogus. for all intellectuals out there, I shouldn't have to be clear on what I mean by Disney Channel bogus. The soccer moms however are doomed to see the logic.
