The Road review

In terms of great apocalyptic films this is a must see. that's right another great adaptation of a classic novel from Cormac Mcarthy. Why these are almost as good as the odds of Orble not counting the amount of readers and writers that you have and instead displaying both of them as zero. Anyway this film is about a man who has lost his wife during an apocalypse and he now attempts to guide his son through the devastated world as they battle cannibals, and other dangers in order to survive.
Viggo Mortensen is absolutely amazing in his role as the father trying to help his son and teach him the ways of true humanity while in a dangerous and not human in character world. He is truly believable and grisly with his long messy, and dirty appearance. Charlize Theron is also just as excellent as his wife. despite the fact, that she is in longer than she is in the book, I still feel that she added a bleaker and more emotional resonance with the audience.
The scenery and grim added is beautifully and artfully blended to make the desolate world bleak beautiful, and ugly at the same time. The characters wander aimlessly through this dnagerous world in it's utter bleak beauty as we near towards a bleak and even sadder movie. while this movie may not be as exciting or fast paced, it is meant to resonate with human character as a study of the way humanity truly must be in order to survive.
I loved this bleak masterpiece, and it is a must see. i was disappointed with the Book of Eli, but luckily this film has cured me of my disappointment.
