This was simply an amazing movie. I cannot believe this didn't go into major theaters because its an actual good movie about the Iraq War without focusing on any political agenda. I is simply a tensioned filled masterpiece that is easily one of the best war movies ever made.
This film starring Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie centers around a specialist group of soldiers who have the most dangerous job of disarming bombs in the heat of combat, and in an are where anyone could be an enemy and any object could be a bomb they must find a way to survive.
The acting is incredible and realistic to the atmosphere of the movie. Jeremy Runner steals the show in his role and the effects are some of the most stylized and realistic effects I've seen since The kingdom.
This film shows that yopu can have a good movie without the need to focus on a political agenda for your side of the war. this film is simply about the soldiers and their job. It is well made, acted and should have been treated better than just a limited release. However, in the world of Hollywood only the war movies with conservative agendas seem to survive.
I would highly recommend this film for anybody who wants a real war movie. it's getting great reviews on metacritic and quite frankly, I agree with its universal acclaim. Rather than watching the usual Micheal bay crap on Transformers 2, why not spend your money on a movie where the soldiers don't look like cocky models, and they look like conflicted and dedicated individuals.
