Paramount destroys remake plans for Paranormal activity

In the smartest move that I could be possibly happy for has been performed by a studio known as Paramount. this studio has sacked it's plans to remake Paranormal activity despite buying it's rights. Instead they'll be releasing it in theaters mostly limited and on DVD. I know you're probably thinking that a studio sacking remake plans is unimaginable, but if that's unthinkable than the apocalypse has indeed begun because it just happened.
The studio reportedly realized that the movie was so scary that it didn't need millions of dollars to be remade and made scarier. It's just going to stand as the original and priceless horror gem that it is and remain untouched like any future Bush family member's election chances. Paramount was the most unlikely studio to make this decision considering how wealthy they are, but they have exceeded my expectations and have made my good list.
So what does this say for other studios? Does it mean that they'll be changing their ways and realizing that good movies should remain untouched from the remake clause, or does that glowing green light flickering from the bank still make the executives drool. It's most likely the second option.
However, I must thank Paramount for proving to me and the horror community that common sense does still exist in Hollywood.
