Nigeria bans District 9

September 24th 2009 23:00
In the latest act of censorship in cinema over believable hypocrisy over fake propaganda we travel to Nigeria where District 9 is now banned due to scenes that depict Nigerians as drug dealers and riminals as well as cannibals of aliens and humans.

They are currenlty demanding an apology from Sony for the film's depiction. I wonder when they'll learn that it's only a movie. it shames me to know that for the littlest things that somebody is always going to throw a hissy fit over it. sure the portrayal may have been a little extreme, but was that the real message about the film or was it meant to be something of a great science fiction film with a realistic message.

When I watched District 9 i wasn't offended by how it portrayed humans in a negative fashion about segregation and I thought the film was amazing. The only complainers eem to be in nigeria and bad news for them there is a sequel on it's way.

Let me know your thoughts.
