I viewed this leaked footage in the trailer and now I've actually gained some faith in Rob Zombie after watching the trailer because it actually looked a bit interesting. I think Rob zombie was trying to completely avoid remaking the original halloween 2 in this round. He decided to make a creepier look at the two Meyers children, laurie strode, and Michael Meyers. Oh yeah and for some reason Annie's still alive for some reason.
This trailer actually looked good though and much better than the other trailers released on halloween 2. This looks like it has grittier violence and more disturbing images as well. i wouldn't call this movie a remake. i'd call it a completely different movie so for all my readers who end up seeing this film out of interest rather than hope don't expect a remake because it's far from a remake. It just has the same title. This isn't a John carpenter movie at all it's a Rob zombie movie for what it's worth.
The only reason as to why I'm lightening up a bit on it was because, this trailer makes the film look much better. it actually makes the film look less like a remake and more of a crazy vision of a horror character just not the same Michael Meyers from years ago. Either way most horror fans probably won't like what they see and who can blame them. The most we can do is either ignore it and watch the old Halloween or somehow give this film a chance by sitting through it.
I'm just saying that all film bloggers and readers should watch this new trailer on either bloody disgusting.com or by checking my other film blog on blogger called filmslasher.blogspot.com.
Anyway this week we don't have to worry about this too much because we've got Inglorious bastards to think about. I'll be posting my review of it soon.
