Movie review Roundup
June 22nd 2009 15:09
Well it appears that this week, every took Sandra bullock's proposal, and thankfully ignored Year One. This week was the week of comedies or as I like to call it: The week of mini busters before the studios release the real summer blockbuster.
Here are the listing of the movies
The Proposal 34.114 million
The Hangover 26.8 million
Up 21.336 million
Year One 20.2 million
The taking of Pelham 123 11.3 million
Night at the museum 2 7.3 million
Star trek 4.7 million
Land of the Lost 3.976 million
Imagine That 3.1 million
Terminator Salvation 3.07 million
Well The hangover and Up are still on top without any surprise considering they're good movies. Apparently there were actually enough people to see the stupid Jack black comedy Year One which is dreadful and I mean Evan Almighty dreadful.Eddie Murphy falls again which isn't much of a surprise. Night at the museum is still hanging in there as Well as the taking of Pelham 123. Star Trek is still doing well. Hopefully, there is a sequel. Land of the Lost continues to tank and it deserves to tank. Terminator Salvation barely maintains it number ten spot.
Sadly, I must say farewell to Drag Me to hell off of this list. I was hoping more of you would've seen it because its a brilliant film. Ironically, it's doing well overseas with 18 million, but I'm very disappointed that nobody went to see this great horror film, oh well I guess you'll spend your money on some other Japanese horror remake or the next Paris Hilton horror movie, because lord knows we know everything about good spending habits. LOL!
Well at least its doing well overseas, and Angels and Demons falls off the list with a substantially lower amount of money made than The Da Vinci Code, but who cares its already made triple its profits overseas.
Ironically, overseas the number one movie with 20 million in U.K. and Japan.
I have free movie tickets that i won so on Tuesday I'll be cashing in at the midnight showing of the number one movie in America, Transformers revenge of the Fallen.
