I understand that Micheal bay is a commercially successful director and all, but when it comes to true art on film he doesn't seem to try at all. He basically is the definition of overusing pyrotechnics to what Roland Emmerich is to overusing visual effects. However, Micheal bay occasionally puts out some good stuff and unfortunately seems to take himself to seriosuly with a massive ego that he displayed when he responded to megan Fox's comments on transformers.
According to Megan Fox, Transformers is a movie about special effects rather than acting. She said this in an interview. Well thank you for stating the obvious miss Fox because if this film was really about acting you probably wouldn't be in it. Alright maybe that was a bit harsh, but stars really shouldn't try to bad mouth the films that they're in when they're trying to make a name for themselves and still receiving a paycheck that could be used for more important purposes like saving the economy. However, Megan fox was decent in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People so i'll give her some credit for that film and Jennifer's Body could be a good horror film if its made correctly.
Now back to the point about Micheal bay. Bay has made movies with lots of big stars like Will Smith, Ben Affleck, and Nicholas Cage, whether the films were good or just trash cans being blown to smithereens. So its only fair for Micheal Bay to respond to such accusations months after the original statement, by saying that Megan Fox doesn't know what shes saying sometimes. Thank you Mr. Bay for stating the obvious once again. He basically went on to say that his movies rely a lot on acting seeing as though they've made stars like Will Smith. Did Micheal bay just take credit for Will smith's career?
Well for just so Bay knows better next time before he becomes more obscure to the facts than George W. Bush, let me remind him that smith was on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and was a rapper before he starred in Bad Boys. I even believe Will Smith actually won an Oscar for a movie called The Pursuit of Happiness and ever since then his movies have been more profitable than ever. I'm pretty sure Hancock for better or worse made double what Bad boys made. Also Ben Affleck won an Oscar for screenwriting way before he starred in Armageddon. Since when did Micheal Bay come close to an oscar for best Picture or anything for that matter. Oh thats right it was his pyrotechnics team that got nominated for all those awards. Sorry.
Micheal Bay also mentioned in the interview that Megan Fox also has al ot of growing up to do. Well mr. Bay when your 44 years old and can't even keep a camera still for one second and when your movies are just you playing with a bunch of firecrackers I think your sounding a bit hypocritical to me. Plus all his movies are aimed at toilet humor for teenagers with extra doses about jokes about cleavage which doesn't help too much either.
