Keep Horror alive

We need to keep Horror movies alive! Any horror films made are just taken from other countries and mad into an American version now i live in America and I love my country, but we can't copy films from other countries. they have a different artsy feel to their films while many of ours have nothing but recycled commercialized garbage that isn't original and it makes us look like total idiots.
The only thing worse than that is that we can't even make good remakes out of our own films. The Prom Night remake was dreadful as well as the remake of Halloween and just when you think thats bad enough they make a sequel just to brainwash us into thinking it will be better. The only good horror films nowadays are being straight to DVD by the big Hollywood executives because they think that it won't make any money and they want to produce a good image of themselves by not putting out a bad product. However, ironically the product they put out causes us to lose brain cells and already gives the audience a terrible view of their films. Maybe if those so called low budget horror films that aren't worth funding had funding they could make a ton of money. I thought 100 feet was a good film but it was sent to DVD film, and oddly it was a semi original idea that was under appreciated by the studio and buried on DVD. It seems that only the good independent films get sent to DVD or Sundance and then DVD while the washed up glorified garbage horror gets made into a movie.
If i was a studio executive I would try to at least give the original ideas a chance so we don't watch the same movie over and over again. Personally,I'm tired of seeing my genre fried by ignorant studios. I don't want to see another Grudge or One missed call. I want a horror film that hasn't been made. Luckily there are a few directors who can still do that. let's just hope the studios actually give them a chance this time.
