How much hype is there for avatar.

We all know James cameron as the man who made billions of dollars for Titanic. We also know him as the man who helmed Terminator one and two the best of the series. We also know him as the man who directed Aliens and The Abyss. He is regarded as a science fiction director who has given us three of the best science fiction blockbusters ever. Quite frankly, who can disagree? Well probably those who claimed that he sold with when he made Titanic and retired with his money then went on to direct underwater journeys into the deep for Disney and other studios.
Now when it comes to the debate as to whether James cameron sold out or not I would say he just tried something different and just happened to make a ton of money off of it. I'll even admit I enjoyed Titanic and i've been waiting for someone to make a picture as audience capturing as that movie was. I'll even admit that I enjoyed most of James Cameron's other independent work afterwards where he explored the deep. they didn't make that much money, but it did show Cameron's interest in the deep.
Cameron has also been criticized for causing movies to rely to much on effects. His Titanic showed how important visual effects could be that soon every movie was using them. I personally wish it was back to robotics and make up effects over these ridiculous horror and science fiction CGI.
Now when you ask what cameron can do with his enormous bundle of cash for the movie business. well apparently he has decided to give back by using his money to change the way that movies are made especially when it comes to visual effects. At Comic Con in San Diego fans were blown away by the first twenty five minutes of free footage while others were perplexed by what exactly Cameron was doing. It's been along time since Titanic and i can't help but wonder if James cameron still has the old film style that he used to have with Terminator, Aliens and the Abyss.
If you're asking if fans are hyped enough for this film just read the latest news in the associated press. Apparently the Avatar website overloaded with people trying to get free tickets for the free fifteen minutes being shown at theaters across the country.
