Clash of the Titans a wasted opportunity

Another great or at least popular 80's film is now remade into a bland overly expensive dud in the original name Clash of the Titans. It stars Avatar or Sam Worthington, but we all know that he will be known as Avatar just Gerard butler is known as King Leonidus. Sam Worthington could've been great in this role if the dialogue was slightly better and he didn't have to be so stoic and anti charismatic. Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson both try to cover themselves as much as possible in make up and fake beard and hair in order to show that they haven't sold out for this dud just to make a buck, but unfortunately their products didn't cover them up enough.
A linear plot that really leads to nothing remotely exciting or interesting adds more to the bland of the story plus unintentionally funny characters, and bits of dialogue. This is basically a continuation of the popular trend of male testosterone flicks with buff dudes fighting monsters in ultra CGI mode. This is a dull trend that makes this movie a complete and utter waste of time and a very disappointing waste of money as well as 3D. Perhaps James Cameron wasn't just sporting an ego when he trashed Alice in wonderland and Clash of the Titans in 3D after all.
