Box Office Roundup 8/24/09 A Glorious day for Inglorious Basterds
August 24th 2009 15:10
As to nobody's surprise the latest Quenting Tarantino movie has topped the box office for this week. It debuted at number one with 37.6 million. Last weeks winner District 9 fell to spot number two and grossed 18.9 million. It's quickly on it's way to break the 100 million dollar mark and the success will hopefully bring out Halo as well. Third place honors goes to GI Joe the Rise of Cobra which continues to fester like bird droppings on a piece of wood that nobody seems to wnat to clean up. Fourtyh place was the Time traveler's Wife and fifth place goes to Julie and julia. Shorts made it in sixt place and sadly for alexis bledel her Post Grad nightmare tanked at the box office yet still did better than Bandslam despite bad reviews.
