There have been many classic themes for horror movie whether it is Jaws or friday the 13th. We've heard these themes and still they run chills down our spines and capture the essence of the movie. So my question to all my readers is what theme do you believe is the best horror movie music theme. It doesn't just have to be an American horror film, it can be from another country as well. Here are my top five picks for best horror themes.
1. Suspiria. the Goblin band made this theme creepy enough to be played throughout the entire film without once getting bored of it.
2. The Omen. Such an underrated theme song for a horror film and another great theme from Jerry Goldsmith. This theme went perfectly with a movie about the son of Satan.
3. Jaws. The shark wasn't the reason we were afraid to go into the water after seeing this film.
4. Halloween. John carpenter at his very best.
5. Psycho. When you hear this music all you can think of is Psycho.
I'm open to any suggestions or revising of the order. I want to hear what everyone thinks about horror film themes. State you opinions in comments below. Some might criticize my choices, but that's your opinions. if this were a top ten list we would have seen Dawn of the Dead(original)
