Avatar was once again the number one movie this week as it manages to earn 68.9 million dollars in the United States. That's nothing when you compare the fact that this movie has grossed over 1 billion worldwide when you compare the domestic and international box office. Avatar once again proves that the blockbusters with the reasonable amount of box office gold always seem to outpace the box offices that debut with over 100 million and then plummet. Avatar continues to rise.
This is groundbreaking because it officially makes James cameron a director of two billion dollar grossing movies. This means that we'll be waiting until 2019 for his next film and sit through more underwater documentaries of the deep.
Well thank you James Cameron for making another brilliant science fiction film and inventing landmark effects so we can truly watch movies in a different way. This movie is a revolution in the way we watch movies and I can't wait to see what Mr. Cameron can show us next.
