While i'm currently ignoring all of the Tiger woods scandal because private lives shouldn't affect professional careers. well try telling MTV or VH! or E! that, but anyway I like to focus on more professional work like James Cameron's Avatar. Yes, the work of the great Science fiction turned Titanic film director who always as ambitious as always in his 235 million dollar budget film that it supposed to change the way we look at film.
The fact that it's Cameron is what makes it believable because let's face it the man aims to revolutionize. He is also a science fiction nut who has given us Aliens, and Terminator. Just by looking at this film should be enough to please us and according to the critics it will. The best experience is too see this film in 3D because it truly captures you in this amazing new world that Cameron has created.
These are some of the possibilities of this new type of film. This new type of film is supposed to change not only how we look at film, but how it's made as well. Which could mean very high ticket prices unfortunately, but the quality may be perfect. Well at least we can see high quality effects on film that aren't driven by explosion after explosion after explosion like a Michael Bay film. we'll also be seeing a lot more of Sam Worthington who does seem to have real potential and Cameron is supporting him so hopefully we'll see much more of him in films doing very good acting instead of just action and science fiction movies.
The only complaint I've heard is that the story is quite weak and the film dwindles towards the end, but others have been saying the exact opposite. I guess it's what you make of the film itself. Well hopefully this film doesn't suck and this will be a true test as to whether James Cameron can make a better science fiction film than District 9 with a higher budget.
