A Perfect Getaway

I didn't think any film would be crazy enough to debut on the same day as a major motion picture like GI Joe. That's like Fun With Dick and jane coming out on the same day as King Kong. What we need to learn from this is that horror movies should be placed on days where there is almost no competition and they should have better promotions than horribly acted fake news clips on youtube. I don't care if the movie is coming from the director of Pitch Black that isn't a big enough draw to out draw the ridiculous and way too over budgeted GI Joe The Rise of Cobra. This film only has the draw of Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich who haven't done anything spectacular in awhile except for some low key independent films.
I'm hoping that A Perfect Getaway will at least be better than The Collector which by the way bombed at the box office yet still did well for the filmmakers who seem talented at making over used torture porn gimmicks and turning them into franchises. Wow this is twisted pictures all over again.
Anyway my early box office prediction is that gI Joe will dominate at the box office. It might not draw as much as transformers 1 or the Michael bay crap fest aka Revenge of the fallen. However, it will have an okay midnight showing that might only be better than New Moon because the show time will be way past their bed time. I know I piss on twilight so much. Hey now Twilight has even forced Bloody disgusting to sell out by promoting New Moon.
Well if you're a horror fan like myself who enjoys a thriller that calls itself a horror then you might see A Perfect Getaway, however if you're not you're going to see GI Joe. Either way they have to pick a better release date next time.
It looks like I'm going to have to wait until late August in order to decide which death festival I want to see, the Final destination aka David Ellis's last mainstream paycheck or Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween 2 aka Micheal Myers in hoodie hobo mode. For those of you who haven't seen the trailer watch it and you'll understand what I mean when i say Myer's is a hobo.
